Product Description
The three-season Minaret is a tried-and-true hiking tent. Its durable two-pole tunnel shape is engineered for stability in high winds, above and below the snowline. Our Multi-Pitch™ system offers year-round versatility, letting you pitch the fly and inner separately or simultaneously. You can keep the inner dry in bad weather — or take a lighter setup in warmer conditions. The waterproof UV30™ SI fly is made from a double ripstop nylon with multiple coats of silicone. A durable Torrentwear™ tub floor provides a waterproof base, and DAC Featherlite® NSL™ poles provide lightweight strength and stability.A large vestibule provides sheltered gear storage, and its retractable floor makes cooking easier too. The double door, internal mesh, and vent system improve airflow in warmer climates.Compared to the Duolight, the Minaret is warmer (and slightly heavier) to handle colder conditions. If you’re looking for a four-season tunnel tent, try the Olympus. Please note: to ensure waterproofness along the seams, the fly needs to be manually seam sealed with the provided SilNet™ sealant.DAC's Green Anodization process helps minimise the amount of toxic chemicals used to produce tent poles. Please read the instructions carefully, and watch this video on seam sealing, prior to use. -

Why I chose this:
Quality outdoor gear, made responsibly, trusted to last in any environment.
Had this tent for 20 years and it has proved very reliable and resiliant and only now needs replacing. At least half the price of similar tents by Hilleberg and Fjallraven. Only very slightly heavier.
